Chef Danny Elmaleh is the culinary mastermind behind Cleo, the sophisticated Mediterranean - inspired restaurant concept from the sbe’s Disruptive Restaurant Group portfolio. With more than 20 years of industry experience, Elmaleh joined the sbe family in 2006 and has worked on nearly all of the group’s acclaimed restaurants across the country, most closely with Cleo and The Doheny Room. In 2011, Elmaleh was given the opportunity to bring his vision for authentic and unique Mediterranean food to life and together with sbe, launched Cleo, which now boasts multiple locations in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, South Beach, New York, the Bahamas, and soon the Middle East.
Drawing on both his childhood and professional life spent around the world, Elmaleh effortlessly blends diverse cuisines to create exotic and sumptuous dishes. He continues to make a name for himself as the creator of enlivening menus that encourage a social dining experience. Born in Israel to a Moroccan father and a Japanese mother, Elmaleh trained at the famed Culinary Institute of America in New York.
